Trumps Trick

I don’t see much in the media about what I think is the tactic that Trump is using to attack his “enemies.” By dragging those who do not see the world as he does, be they individuals or corporations, into court, he doesn’t want to jail them; he wants to break them financially, or threaten such protracted legal procedures that they cry “Uncle!” Persons like Bolten, Commey, and Smith, among others, are no longer government employees, so they don’t have access to any free legal help. Companies and colleges don’t want to allocate funds to trials that could last for months. Individuals must defend themselves out of their own pockets; businesses out of their reserves. Using the US DOJ, Trump has virtually unlimited legal power. The goal, in all of these cases, is not to put his tormentors in jail, but to put them in the poor house!
